Default 1st ever proto swimmers

These are my very first plugs. As they say, " they swim pissah. " They weigh about 2.6 oz. I swam them several times to get the weighing and action just right. It was time consuming but the results were well worth it. These will do nicely where I fish.

It was definitely a learning experience on several levels. As well as being a tremendous amount of fun and frustration. But anyway here they are.

I truly appreciate all your kind words. It's very encouraging.
They're all made from AYC. Sealed with 60/40 spar urethane/mineral spirits.
Bins primer and Rustoleum spray cans. Some are sealed with Etex. Some, just 2-3 coats of clear. The one mattlist is holding was just sprayed with 2-3 coats of clear. I specifically didn't set out to replicate any plugs out there, but one of the shapes that I'm enamored of is the "tear drop" shape. So most of the swimmers I made has that particular shape. The shape is pleasing and the form is quite functional.
Again, thanks for all your replies.

Yah, I'm with Fishenough on this one. Is this really the one, the only, the magnificent Turkish Delight.........."Awesome John"!!!!!
I'm honoured Awesome John by your comments. If you think they look beautiful, then I might be doing something right. I'm still waiting on Charleston's approval. So far, he hasn't said anything. C'mon Bill, what say you. I truly feel that "EVERY TOWN, CITY, STATE NEEDS AT LEAST ONE CHARLESTON." He is "THE MAN". When I grow up, I wanna be just like him.

Awesome John, I was following your progress on the other site(SOL) and I'm sorry that your GF was mad that you got a airbrush/compressor. How's that coming along. I guess being in Turkey, you're at a great disadvantage when it comes to having plug building supplies readily available. I mean, you just can't go to Homies, Lowes or the local hardware supply store or craft store.
