Default Are we being turned into a banana republic?

For 200 years, one of the principle things that separated us from other countries was the belief that we had the rule of law. People could invest in our country knowing that contracts and other legal rights could be enforced. That is why this country has been a haven for investment and why people have been slow to invest in places in China and India and so-called "banana republics." But we now have a president who berates those who seek to enforce their legal rights if they dare have a view different than he does of what is "just" or if they refuse to accept terms less favorable than those being offered to union organizations who are the president's supporters. This trend goes at the very top of the list of evil, short sighted, and stupid things being done by this administration. If we become viewed as a country where you can't enforce your legal rights or are punished or berated by the government for doing so, we will be finished as any kind of economic force whatsoever. We will become a banana republic ourselves.

He needs to have demons like Big Al and Jesse needed to have some one to blame for their people’s blight.
It is much easier to get your agenda through when you have some one to hate and use as the example of what not to be.
How about if they release all the info instead of Cherry Picking the ones that support their position. This administration is playing the Left wingnuts tune and they are loving it.

Many don’t remember the Carter years but I do as I entered the work force in 81. Jimmies popularity was higher than Obama’s is today.
