Me and my brother Bryan fished with Adam on the Adam Bomb on Friday morning, 10/21. I must say, I was very, VERY impressed with Adam and his 28 foot Hydra Sport boat!! We boated about 10 Good Fish (or more, I stopped counting after 10), the largest going to 39 1/2 inches, all in fairly sloppy conditions. Three or four VERY large fish either broke off or we were unable to bring to the boat after having them spit the hook. All except one were caught on live spot. Every fish hooked was a little bit different--some took the bait hard and ran, while others barely took it. It was very difficult to actually hook the fish today, but we did well in spite of this. It seemed the biggest fish barely hit your bait (they must have been simply inhaling hit) while the slot fish really hammered the baits. Best part of the day was our second to last drift at 11 am, when we had a double hook up of a 34 1/4 inch and a 39 inch. The 39 ended up dumping a lot of line out, and the RHINO baitcasting reel (which I bought new yesterday)was actually coming apart and losing screws as my brother Bryan was trying to bring that 39 in. Adam grabbed some pliers and somehow put it back together in the midst of the whole ordeal while Bryan was trying to keep the line tight. It was awesome! Thank god we managed to boat that fish.

What really made the day so fun is that we were using 15-17 pound medium/light gear. I must tell you all, there is no better feeling in the world then when you have a 20 pounder pulling line and worrying that your pole is going to snap!! I think the light line actually contributed to a lot of our hook ups. My advice, go light! And have fun!

Adam is a great captain, and he manuevers his boat with absolute skill in the rips, putting us on top of the fish drift after drift. If you haven't had the opportunity to fish with him yet, you absoultely must give him a call or book your charter ASAP. It really is worth it.

I'm sure Adam will post some pics when he gets the chance.

Congrats on a nice day. I'm gonna have to call and set something up with him also. Even if it's just to fill in a spot, last min notice would be ok also. Don't know where he sails out of and how long it would take me to get there from North East Md...I'm about 30 min from the Del Mem Br.

Again nice day...

Bruce

Rob, thanks for the nice post! Hope to have you aboard again soon. I had a great time fishing with you guys.

Fishfood, keep the mayonaisse sandwiches for those British guys!

Cisco, we are in Cape May at the end of the Garden State Parkway. Hope to fish with you.

Deep Pockets, look forward to seeing you next spring on the flats...

Capt Adam...I'd be honored to sail with you. I will call and see what's avail. From what I've read over the last year or so, you are a well respected Capt.
Talk to you soon,

Bruce
