We headed out this morning on an open boat trip with BOHICA,JOHN WINKLER, JOE BLACK and NEEDANET leaving around 7 AM.

We arrived in the rips with sloppy conditions, and had Mikes friend catch his first striper ever on the first cast, of the first drift.

We fished till slack tide, waited for the change of tide, and the conditions became glassy, and warmer, both the air and the water.

The water temp came up from 42 to around 45 and the fish started to bite really well.

We ended with our limit, having trouble finding the slots. The fish all hit bucktails with a green worm. As the water temp came up they became more aggesive, we even had a drift with a multiple hookup.

It was a great day, on the water with a good crew, nice meeting you BOHICA.

It seemed more like a nice November day then the 2nd of January. We ended up with 32 bass to 35"

Jeremy and Skip, AWSOME AWSOME Trip! Thanks for putting John Winkler on his first Bass from a boat ever. We had a blast and were very impressed with your efforts. Skip is an animal fisherman and kicked all of our basses (including you Jeremy) . Thanks again and if you guys are sailing Sunday I have 2 ready so give me a call. Heck, if you need anglers tomorrow call me. Bohica out and thanks again for a great start to the 2004 fishing season. Mike.

Mike, thanks, it sure was a good time today, You guys did great!!

Remember, Skip only beat me by 2 fish, and don't forget, I had some down time , so if you factor that in, I may have beat him for once .

I'll give you a call about Sunday tomorrow, I do still have 3 spots open.

It was truely a great start to the 2004 season. Jeremy your down time was due to a medical emergency and should not be held against you. We were all pulling for you and your recover was something to remember--glad Skip took the picture Thanks once again guys.
