1-3-04

Another beatiful day in the rips. Fishing with bucktails in short sleeves, It sure was a great day for January.

We had a great crew with Absecon Tom, striper13, Aquabass and a couple of guys who only fished in the Great Lakes. Skip helped 3 striper virgins get their first .

We all managed to boat 13 bass to 33", we must have missed about 20 others, they would hit your bucktail, and then dissapear, I think it happened to all of us. We fished the incomming tide and the temps topped out at a little over 45 today.

1-04-04

Excellent conditions continued today!!

We fished with striper13, snichols, seadevil, bohica and 2 others. We fished some of the outgoing in the morning which seemed to be the better tide.

We finished up fishing the incomming tide and finished the day with a total of 30 fish to 32"

Jeremy, You should really consider a career in photography, cause like badfinger said and my wife just agreed, that is a really cool picture of the captain on the bow. Skip, way to end a great fishing season and start a new year with 2 great back to back days on the Stalker this weekend, and a great bunch of barners that joined us. See you all soon. ...Rick

Thanks guys!

We really have no one to thank but mother nature(It's about time) and the fish. All I can say is what a great 3 days, AWESOME! I'm so excited for the spring and by the looks of it we will be having a really good one.

It was a real pleasure having you all out with us, you all did a great job on the fish! Sometimes they would hit very soft and you had to be on your toes. Great job to all!

By the looks of it we are most likely done for the year because of the up coming weather. Unless the weather man has changed the forecast, I haven't looked yet. But for the most part we are done.

Again, I'd like to thank everyone for coming out and doing a very good job. Great fishing with you all and see you in the spring!

Happy New Year!

Cool

Skip showed the same passion for the sport as he did Xmas eve 2002. That day was sunny and warm as was friday. On that day ,I brought a lesbian basser who was just plain jinxed when it came down to it. He had caught bluefin, swordfish and mako, but the bass laughed at him. Skip caught the first fish and in the end the jinx was over. We all limited with 25 bass and about 100 "doggies".

I dicided to make it an annual tradition, but the weather didn't cooperate this Xmas. So I waited until friday.

60 degrees and the Rips were ripples. Skip caught the first fish.Jeremy caught the second, and it was quiet for a while. Finally my brother-in-law caught the next which was his first ever. Shortly after I hooked heavy fish of the day. Everyone caught fish except for the guy with the nice blue jacket. We decided to keep 8. Had 7 in the box and looked for the 8th until dark. There were about 20 lucky fish who never saw daylight.

My brother-in-law enjoyed the "hat trick", and how I threw 2 bucks at once.

Nice to meet Jeremy finally. Thanks to him and Capt. Skip we had a great day. The tradition will carry on...

One question thou, where did the 8th fish come from in the picture????
