1st Annual Nor' East Kayak Fishing Challenge is in full
swing with the first event at the Seventh Annual Jamaica Bay Kayak
Fishing Tournament, just outside of New York City. The tournament
this year is hosted by Captain Kayak on Saturday, May 15th, 2010.
The first event is expected to have over 350 kayak anglers camping
out in a tent city and hundreds more for the free kayak demo day!

Michael's
5th Annual Striped Bass Open. May 21st - 23rd. 2010.
The 5th Annual Great Kills Harbor striped bass open tournament will
be held May 21, 2010 through May 23, 2010.
The captains meeting will be held Friday, May 21, 2010 at Michael’s
Bait & Tackle at 7:00 PM (Party starts at 6 PM, food
and beverages will be served).)
Entry fee will be $375 per boat. Six persons per boat limit.
All entries must be submitted prior to or at the Captain’s meeting.
NO EXCEPTIONS, (only cash accepted at Captain’s meeting)

Sponsored by the Beach Haven Marlin & Tuna Club. The LBI Cup is an
open tournament for boaters only. Begin fishing at 3 a.m. Saturday,
May 29th, and continue to 3 p.m. Saturday.
Registrations on
or before May 1st are $150 per boat. Registrations after May 1st are
$200. All registrations must be in by 9 p.m. sharp, Friday, May 28,
2010 at the Captain's meeting, which will be held at the Beach Haven
Marlin & Tuna Club (next to Morrison's Marina at the end of
Pennsylvania Ave).
Weigh-in time is 2 to 4 p.m. Saturday, May 29,
followed by award presentations after 5:30. Food and beverages will
be provided following the tournament.

If you weigh in any tuna species that measures less than 45inches
you will lose 20 pounds off your weigh in weight for your Daily
stringer on each Fish Day!! A Total of 40 pounds for each under 45
inch fish!!

***only three fish can be weighed in per boat daily***
A 45 inch minimum length on each fish on daily stringer! If you
weigh in and any of the three fish measures less then 45 inches you
will be assessed a 20lb penalty reduction for every fish for each
fish day a total of 40lbs for the tournament per fish that does not
reach min. length!! If there is no qualifying stringer the stringer
division prize money will be added to the overall heaviest tuna
winner take all prize!!
