    Default 2011 Trout Season

    With trout season coming up soon, I wanted some tips on trout fishing in the Wissahickon river.

    I like panther martins a lot. I have used small rapala lures, corn, trout magnet, etc... but, I have had most success with panther martins. I fish the wissahickon a good deal too...my target areas are obstructions within riffles (a lot of fish will sit behind an obstruction and wait to ambush food going by) or I'll shoot to hit some deep pools. Good luck, have fun and be sure to leave a little space between you and the next guy up the stream.

    2nd the panther martins. I also like the rapala countdown black and gold.

    mepps, panther martins (not a fan or rooster tails) and google pcola lures call them up and order a couple. You wont be sorry. By far the best trout lures I've ever used.

    What color panther martins should I get and what sizes.

    An what kind specifically rapala lure do u recomend to get.
