I tried a black/blue topwater frog all around the pond, on shore as well as open water... STILL nothing at Heritage Park...

There's so many fish here, I can't stop going back, lol! Although a short day, arriving later at about 1700, I didn't bother breaking out the camera at first but, after three or so, I took this one:

A fish story worthy of telling:
I was at the same spot as the picture above when I cast at this lone, black branch sticking up out of the water and when I turned to look behind me, something struck the black and blue jig with the speckled blue trailer so hard that it almost knocked the pole out of my hands into the water! Of course, I continued to persue this "Loch Ness Monster" for the next half hour, but got no response. I'LL BE BACK!

It was 2130 and I had just finished attending my son's back to school night when I heard that a fish had been caught out of Heritage pond. Seeing that I was less than a mile from the pond, this motivated me to make a quick stop and throw in my line, hahaha! The question was asked though, "Is there fishing there at night?" I got this information from the city of Absecon - NJ Parks, Playgrounds and Recreation Areas website:

More than once, since I have been fishing at Heritage Pond, the question has been asked whether or not boats, floats, or any other devices are allowed on the water. The above site covers that as well:

STILL shutout at Heritage tonight!
FYI: I'll be flying to San Diego next Wed to bury my Dad. He was near 80 years old and a Navy Veteran. He'll be receiving a Military Funeral Honors Ceremony. I'm looking forward to that.
While I'm there for a week, I hope to drop a line or two in with my older brother and hopefully catch a SoCal HAWG! I'll post pictures/video. See you then!
Problem:"For what is a man profited, if he shall gain the whole world, and lose his own soul? or what shall a man give in exchange for his soul?" - Matthew 16:26 KJV
Solution:"For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever BELIEVETH IN HIM should not perish but have everlasting life." - John 3:16 KJV
Why wait? Understand, hence believe in Jesus Christ today. It really is that simple.
Truthdweller, sorry for your loss.
