Default My first time fishing for shad from a boat

This was the first time I tried for shad from a boat. My friend just got this boat last fall. This was his first shad in his boat.

    Hardtop and fdformicola like this.

    Congratulations.

Tell your friend to put 4 to 6 foot of chain on that anchor. It will hold better.

He is new to boating. I thought about the chain while throwing the anchor. But I don't want to put too much on his plate yet. He will soon learn what B.O.A.T. stands for. And also he will be making a new anchor to use in the river. That anchor was not the correct style for fishing there. Another thing was if you listen to me say I didn't want to make the rope too short. I would have preferred more rode on the anchor line.

Thanks a lot reelinron. Watch for more video from me. Although, shortly all of my videos will be from saltwater. And I love to do underwater videos. I am trying to get some underwater of the shad.
