    Default Davis Mill Pond - 10-14-2019 - 6 POUNDER!

Friend and I hit up Davis Mill Pond. I was looking to bounce back after being skunked in the summer. Slow going at first, couple small fish, then got the big one!
6 pounds on the nose. (towards the end of video) As usual pictures dont do the fish justice, video helps. This one is number 3 on my personal best list!

Way to go on that beast! What kind of fight did it give you? Reason I ask is I caught my personal best this past August in Winchester lake CT. 4lb10oz, 21 inch. Did not really thrash or jump out of the water. He pulled heavy but was kinda easy landing. And I was using a Pfluger President spincaster. (Posted this before watching the video)

Yea...I use the same reel. I thought it was gonna jump one time near the kayak, just a little head shake. Definitely pulled me around. Only thing i was worried about was all the submerged branches. I got it by the big branch and felt more comfortable then and knew it had to be tired.

I've caught 2 seven pounders too, and both of them didnt jump either, more of a pulling and attempt to go deep.
