Fished a few of the local reefs today and nada. However there was a lot of life and we were treated to a show of a 6 foot mako free jumping all over the place, 3-4 times altogether. Amazing to see that fish just greyhounding like that just a few miles from the beach. Who needs to run 25-30 miles when they are justa couple miles from the bell.

Yeah right, you first. That fish was jumping all over the place, awesome to see so close to shore. Also lots of porpoise around. Another month and the inshore trolling should be really good.

City Slicker, how many makos were in the school? I've never heard of them hanging out in packs like that, makos are a solitary predator. How many did you actually catch?

I didn't think Makos travelled in packs either, sure you weren't tipping the bottle or smoking the funny stuff that day?
