White bite was pretty good on Saturday going 8-10, along with a 50# class yellowfin and a ton of green hornets and grave diggers galore, kept 3 released about 25 including an actual bull gaffer size. Note to self, dont hit 60# flouro with the gaff , otherwise #1 son Swab gets upset.:fighting:
stayed overnight and marked some bruisers, but we weren't fishing, just waiting for the sun to rise and get more whites. Lines in 6:15 am and about 15 minutes in, one of those bruisers made an appearance on my left chain with a mackeral on the end with a pink slut cover. Thankfully, he didnt eat one of our dink rods. Really cool Saturday with a huge ground swell. At times, 15'-20' ground swell would come thru and give you a whole new perspective on the world and what sea level really means. One of our guests, with a lack of sleep didn't care for the elevator effect and the ol family recipe of Cinnamon toasted crunch shot at 8:45 went over the side .
really good water conditions, but the warmer water did slide to the south about 3 miles during the night. we should have gave the tip a little longer effort on Sunday, but we chased the water down to the G spot where there was a little Whitie bite going on only going 1-1, but again, a ton of green hornets and grave diggers kept us on our toes.
