I'm looking for a used CC in the 20' range for back bay and some inshore fishing, and for running back bay charters. I can't afford a new boat, but am looking at some higher quality used ones. Some of the ones I've been considering are sea ox, seacraft, aquasport, and dusky. Which would be best for running charters in the back bay? Any other boats that would be suitable for this? The makos are nice but there are already a couple captains running charters off them in my area, and I'd like to have something different. I appreciate any feedback anyone can give me.

    Sugarhigh,
I didn't know you had your captain's license. Congrats.

For back bays, an outboard is a must. no I/O or inboard. For back bays, you don't need a whole lot of boat to accomodate 3-4 guys on a trip.

That C-hawk in the barn sale forum would be darn near perfect. It doesn't draw alot of water and is a very stable boat.

SugarHigh, my 1999 Sea Pro SV2300CC is still for sale, and it's a perfect back bay boat. Specifically designed for that, in fact. Check out www.cecilmarine.com and my boat is listed under "preowned boats".

Or you can call me in the office at (877) NJ-Angler.

The Dusky is a huge 20 footer but you might have trouble finding a used one in this area.
