Fished Sea Isle and TI both saturday and sunday. Got beat up by the elements Saturday and only managed a few croaker Sunday.Talked with quite a few guys and noone has caught Mr. Striper.
Drowned some fresh clams today on the beach in OC around the end of the day. I managed some croakers and my favorite fish, the skate. I catch them in December, June, July, August, September, October, etc. Water was clean of seaweed.
I can tell you they were not in Monmouth County last night or today.
Can't wait to "Git R Done"!!
It hasn't been the best over the last few weeks, but rest assured Prime time along our coast is usually betweetn Halloween and Thanksgiving...
So don't give up yet...Plenty of Fish To Be Caught My Friend...
Stay there you are not missing anything. Anytime the wind blows out of the southeast there will be weed. We need a good cold shot I hear frost is forecast in the next couple of days. Look for NW winds or Northeast. Bunker heads or clams are the ticket. Plugs should be put back on the wall they don't want them. Good luck.
Another stinkin' hurricane, all the stained water, all the seaweed!!
Such a shame. I've been small game hunting in PA. I have to have some outdoor fun. It makes me sick to fish the surf and have cesspool looking water filled with weeds.
What happened to the wonderful "clean" surf filled with millions of fall fish?
If only I had a time machine!!
