    WW reef report 8/3

Haven’t been out in a couple weeks but was able to get out for a quick trip today. Heard tons of decent reports coming from other areas and the few reports I heard from the WW reef said it was dead.

It was a coin flip when we broke the inlet but decided to head back to WW reef since it’s been good to us all season.

Same story as entire season for us...great ratio but had to work for them.

Caught 5K to 23in and about 15 tbs between two of us. Started by the 3 buoy but the way the tide was going we ran up the other end of the reef and worked several structure marks until we made our way back to the 3 buoy.

No one spot produced more than a couple fish so it was important to keep moving after a couple drifts.

Gulp and meat produced the bites and it was an even split between top and bottom hook catches.

    Time fished
    7:15 11:30
    Depths varied- mostly 50ft
Bait- gulp 6 in grub and meat strips
Rig- 3z bucktails with top hook
Catch- 5 for 20 fluke- a few trash Robbins mixed in

Fishing a charter in belmar on tuesday then on the shelf for 2 weeks. I would think by then they should be moving to the deeper grounds.
