could not ask for a better day to be out on the water in the middle of winter.. ran out to the deep around 125 ft looking for cod.. found plent of nice 2 to 6 lb. ling, we put 53 in the box.. and just one small 8lb cod in the mix.... also had one undersize 19 inch haddock that we released. these nice days are few and far inbetween so they are like a blessing, thanks to my crew did a fantastic job today..:D

I'm in a Ling coma right now. Panko w/ garlic and rosemary did me in. Thanks to Harry and the rest of the motley crew for a much needed day of fishing. Perfect weather, great people and a great mixed bag of fish.

The addiction has been fed !

hey harry,

looks like brian is part of the official crew....glad you guys have connected....now you can "field test him" for me before we run his sled out to the edge for a double overnighter ;)....we will have to put a couple of rigs together and spend 72 hours out in 100 fathoms come spring/summer.....tuna, swordies and makos...oh my.

wish i wash baggin those ling with you guys as they are great eating....guess i will have to settle for mahi and snappa :D

make sure you reserve a brass name plate for the gladiator under one of your umpteen rod holders on the beast....as im sure i will be gettn out with your crew once the weather thaws...will let you know if i can get up sooner.

give me a buzz if you still are in the market for the electric setups....all my contacts are saying to go with the daiwa gold electrics (vs. the L.P.) based on some recent drag issues that have surfaced with the L.P.s and their recent price increase....i stopped by the tackle store yesterday to reconfirm that i can get a 10 finger (%) discount....just lemme know brother.

tight lines,

frank

ps brian...save some ling for me!

Oh, Dont you worry Franky! You'll be in good hands when it comes to running off this summer! Before I hooked up with Harry, the only fish that ever crossed my mind when fishing in the ocean were tuna....

Now that has all changed for the bad :)...... Jay has been schooling me in the art of bottom fishing, and unfortunately for my pocket and my Girlfriend :D I like it!

Looks like a few trips are in the works, and Im kinda of excited... As along as work is OK and all my boat work is going on schedule, I'll be good to go!

I wanna run offshore on Harry's boat this summer, maybe we can all get together when it happens?

Amen Brother...I think 2010 will be the year of the tuner...and sowrds...and mahi...etc. I will start looking at a calendar but we definetly have to get the Jersey crew to fly south in May for some Bahamian tuner tango or possibly a multi-day trip to fort jefferson in the dry tortugus. May is a majical month in the southeast and it will be a good warm up for the canyon season:). Who knows, if business on this end materializes as expected I may have to pick up a 31 contender and keep it down in BI/Cape May for our "inshore requirements". A multiday trip to the edge on capt. Harry's sled also sounds great :). Will cycle back so we can gets some spring tuner (tand sword) dates on our calendar... Tight Lines, Frank
