The original plan was to find stripers in the back during the weekend, but a horrible forecast led me to burn a vacation day on Friday and hit the AC reefs for sea bass & tog. Once we pulled up to the first wreck, we were about to drop anchor when suddenly, albies started busting everywhere. We threw out some slim profile metals and burned them across the surface ended up hooking up one fish each. We chased them around for the next hour or so, eventually shifting to sea bass when the albies disappeared. We did not want to anchor for sea bass in case they busted again, so we didn't really get too much aside from a bunch of short bass and flounder, and a few keepers mixed in. If anchored up, and committed to the bass bite, we would have done much better, but we had our mind on albies for the rest of the day. When they showed up again an hour later, we were ready and the chase was back on. Also spotted an ocean sunfish hanging out on the surface on the ride in. Could not ask for a better day weather wise, it's a shame it doesn't happen on the weekends.
