We went out to GE inlet this morning. It wasn't very nice. Cold wind, dirty water, big swells. The water temp was 50. We were fishing with clam bellies. We did manage a slot and a 33 bonus fish before the tide turned. A buddy of mine was fishing with clam bellies off WW Crest and had a short and tons of doggies. Now we have a couple more days of wind coming.

DB, My brother wanted me to go up there and fish with him for a change. He had 47 bass up to 37 inches over the weekend on clam bellies. Everything had changed by the time I got there.

Tom, It's been ok but not like last fall. Hopefully those fish we've been hearing about up north don't just blow by too fast with a cold snap. I'd like to see them stop here for a while like they do for those guys.

Looks like that surf temp is holding around 50 . Hoping for the best, conditions look real good next week.

I have pulled up to Longport with the binoculors and the handheld vhf the last two days to take a look before deciding to go get the boat out... both times I decided not to.

Thursday, there were 6-8s in the inlet off the shoals... yesterday was also bad, and the water looked like chocolate milk as far as I could see.

Staying in again today.... might bust out the surf gear for Sunday and wait for it to lay down a little early next week before casting off again.
