We need a couple of anglers for our Monday 15 hour canyon troll trip leaving Cape May at 2:00 am. Weather looks great and we will stop East of Hot Dog on way home and go for the large bluefins that showed up last weekend that are up to 200 lbs. There was a 71 inch fish caught there last Saturday and some over 175 lbs. The main target will be yellowfins and longfins on the troll. We had some really good trips before the bad weather and will be out overnight this weekend. If interested leave message on home phone (609) 861-2388 or e-mail us.

Hey Cap,

Was that you I saw mentioned in National Fisherman having a 54', 40kt boat built? If so, good luck with her!! Sounds like a real fishing machine.

Yes, that is probably our new custom carolina sportfisher currently being built at Crown Marine in Wake, VA. If anyone is interested in how a cold molded Carolina boat is built visit our web page at www.cavemansportfishing.com and we have a link to Crown Marine with pictures. We did not see the article so there is the possibilty that it could be another boat being built at another yard but it sounds like our new boat. 40 knots may be stretch but if we can cruise at 28-32 knots in 4-5 foot seas without pounding then we will be more than happy. The "Reliance" is a sistership that was commissioned this spring and is an advertiser on the Bass Barn and fishes out of Hatteras and Ocean City, MD. It should be ready by late next summer.

Josh we will be out Thursday night on a 30 hour trip and back out again Saturday into Sunday running regular charters so this weekend is out with us. If the night bite turns on in one of the local canyons out of Cape May then we will do a mid-week make-up charter for small parties and singles next week some time. It sounds like The Little Debbie had a great trip the other night on Yellowfins in the Spencer and that is what we have been waiting for all fall.

We have no plans to go back out Sunday. We have run a 30-hour trip and a leaving tonight for a 20-hour canyon trip back to back. Possibly mid-week or late this week for an open boat trip if the night bite is hot and weather look good.
