Afew years ago we had a Classic SeaCraft get together in Atlantic City, some of us guys from classicseacraft.com docked at Flying Cloud....I tried to get it back the past 2 years but timing was off for most....maybe I will try to start something up this summer, If so maybe you can join in ,only a short run from Somers Pt...
I think there are not many boats 40 years old that dont have some restoration or work done to them...Take a 30yo Grady, Mako, etc would they still not have rot , soft floors ,etc, Trackers may be better than Potters from what you see out there. But finding a 30-40 year old boat still running hard in non restored condition is what the ? is...I respect and thank you for all the input you give here ,but just ? why...AS for that other sight , after all the resin , sanding etc must make the guys on there:nuts:, You would be a asset on that site ,BUT WE NEED YOU HERE..
PS the only thing I done to my 40yo Potter was ,new gas tank, wiring, rub rail,& added Ttop. still has org transom ,gel coat etc and the boat looks better than some 10 yo hulls out there...
now you have to get it dirty with fish blood, I would even hate to do that, she looks great .I hope to see it up close one day.
