1985 Bertram Sport Fisherman with twin 454 Crusaders (1100 hrs). LOA: 33’ Beam: 12’ 6” Draft: 3’
Cruises: 20 knts. Max: 29 knts. Fuel: 315 gal. Water 70 gal. Engines run strong. New 4 blade props in 2004.

The hull was Soda Blasted (no blisters) and an epoxy Barrier coat and Ablative bottom paint was applied in 2005. There are new (08/2005) rear curtains on the full enclosure for the hardtop / helm.

New 2004 electronics include Standard Horizon 1000C color GPS and Furuno 582L color fish finder w/ 1K transducer. She is also equipped with a Sitex CVS-106 color fish finder in the cockpit, a hailer / PA and three (3) VHF radios which are located on the helm, in the cockpit and in the cabin.

Cabin amenities include a microwave, sink, 2 refrigerator / freezers, electric / alcohol stove, AC, hot water heater, sleeps 4 (comfortably) with 2 in the V-Berth and 2 on the convertible dinette. The cabin also has ample storage and rod holders. The Raritan electric head has a new motor (2004) and a new 2005 macerator pump for pump outs.

Cockpit / fishing features include single spreader outriggers, 13 rod holders, a stand-up fish fighting station, a new (08/2005) Kodiak (PF-42) 42 gal. live bait well, fresh / saltwater wash down and tackle storage. New 40 Amp Batt charger and new foward bilge pump.

Yes, she does have a fiberglass tank. I have not experienced any ethanol related problems. From what I can tell Bertram switched to vinylester resins in the mid 80's which are not affected (or not as affected) as the older resins. The fuel / water separation issues are, of course, common to all boats.

If the tank would need to be changed, it would be a relativly easy switch as the cockpit can be unscrewed and full access gained to the tank.

If you're interested, make an offer based on a tank replacement and we might be able to work out a deal.
