As the 2004 BackBay & Inlet Fishing Season
Gets Nearer (11 Days & Counting).I Start Thinking
About What Are My Goals for the New Season.
Something To Shoot For Etc.,....

Whether You Fish Off Land or in a Boat,Fish with
Bait or Lures,Fish For Stripers,Weakfish,Blues,
Flounder,Whatever.I am sure everyone would like
to accomplish something during the year,doing
what we Love to do,FISH!.It Could Be Anything...

And I Thought It Would Be Neat To See
What Our Community Here Has On Their Minds.....
And To Make It Interesting, I Will "GIVEAWAY"

My 2004 fishing goals are as follows :
1)A fluke over 10lbs (had an 8.4 last year)
2)Best an over 20lb striper with the long rod while walking the beach.
3)Catch a hybrid striper on a 5/6 weight trout rod loaded with extra backing.
4)Go weakfishing with the grass shrimp expert in BB and catch some on poxy back flies I tied this winter.
Before this list gets too long I'll stop

2004 Fishing Goals

1) 50/50 Club Striper
2) 12 lb Weakie
3) 10 lb Flounder
3) 5 tuna trips this year
4) Help my 8 year old son meet his goal of 8 stripers this year
5) Help my 7 year old daughter meet her goal of 11 striper this year
6) Place in the South Jersey Classic0 inshore division
7) Place in the Fall ASA Tourney
8) Become a better "skinny water" back bay fisherman
9) Practice and perfect tying my own bucktails and teasers

Good post Nightstrikes. Here's mine:

1-Have another spring like 2003. This time breaking the 50# mark while liveling adult bunker from a boat or jetty. Last year I had two the same day over 40# (One @40.5# and one @41#) and both are still swimming...I hope.

2-Catch more Fluke. I didn't go fluking that much at all last year.

3-Fish south jersey much more often this year. I'd to find all those great back bay and river spots. I just became an uncle and she lives in Egg Harbor near Somners Pt. So I have no excuse this year.

4-Fish as much as I can with Capt. Phil(seadated) and learn a whole lot more about offshore fishing techniques.

5-Flyfish more often from the boat for bigger bass.

6-Quit the second job and fish 7 days a week!

Nice gesture Steve, you know none of us can have too many Bombers or Zooms! :D
My 2004 fishing season goals are:
1. Land a Weakfish over 12lbs.
2. A Flounder over 8lbs.
3. A backwater Striper over 25lbs.
4. Take my boy out on a few overnight trips.
5. Enjoy ever minute I get out on the water.
6. Keep my mouth shut about any new fishing spots! ;)

My 2004 fishing goals are:
1) Watch my 5 year old daughter catch keeper flounder.
2) Beat my largest striper off the beach (33")
3) Watch my nephew catch a striper off the beach.
4) Beat my largest tuna record of 70 lbs.
Of all these if #1 comes true the season was the best ever.

MY GOAL IS TO CACTH A BASS ON MARCH 1ST IT IS MY SONS BIRTH DAY HE WILL BE THREE THIS.
WHEN HE WAS BORN HE WAS TWO WEEKS EARLY I SAID IT WAS BECAUSE HE DID NOT WANT TO MISS THE FIRST DAY OF THE SEASON.
SO I STARTED ARE OWEN LITTEL TREDITOIN ON MARCH 1ST EVERY YEAR HE AND I GO FISHING ON MATTER WHAT!!
IN THE PAST THREE YEARS IT HAS BEEN BAD WEATHER BUT WE STILL WENT IF ONLY FOR A SHORT WILE.
I WOULD REALY LIKE TO CATCH A BASS THAT DAY FOR SOME PICS. THAT WILL LAST A LIFE TIME.
AND KEEP THE TRADITION GOING STRONG :D :D :D

2004 goals;

1. Help Skip win the NO BONES!
2. Break my current Bass record of 41 1/2 lbs.
3. Spend more time offshore this year.
4. Get my Grandson out for some flukin.
5. Sneak out at night more, " Doin some runnin".

My goals for spring summer and fall of 2004 are!

1) Go out and fish the back bays more often at night and during the day.

2) Keep my family involved as much as i can with the fishing

3) Basically enjoy the entire fishing season catching and releasing and tagging.

4) Enter more tornaments

5) I dont have personal best with size of fish so maybe this year i cant make some. :D

Nice gesture Steve, i'm sure you'll get a lot of responses. Last year I achieved all my goals that I set for myself and hopefully will do again this year.

1.Beat my personal best fluke.
2.Beat my personal best weakie(I want that 10lb'r).
3.Beat my personal best blue.
4.Get my first 40lb bass.
5.Catch my first mako.
6.Catch my first tuna.
7.Win another tourament.

2} Weakfish 10lbs or over

3} Striper 40lbs or over

4} Bluefish 18lbs or over

5} Tuna about 100lbs

6} Striper over 20lbs in the back water at night

7} Do alittle more surf fishing

8} help those I fish with as much as I can.

9} and most of all...to enjoy every outing as I have in the past, wheather I catch or not. Just as long as I try.

1) Fish Every single night or day from season start till finish
2) Catch a striper over 50lbs
3)Catch and release a striper every night
4)Not drop any cellphones over the bridges
5)Do something with a chick while im fighting a fish

#1 win a first bass contest at local bait shops.#2 win a tournament this year,my best effort so far is a 4th place.#3 catch a 40lb. or better bass.#4 a bay slam (weakfish,bass,fluke,bluefish).
