We hosted the 2nd Annual Hi-Mar Striper Club Spring Tournament supporting Jason's Dream for Kids. We doubled the amount of boats that entered the tournament from the previous year, to a count of 50 entries. The boats that fished had to run in small craft conditions on the ocean for rough seas, but as the day progressed the weather improved, unlike last year.
Thank you to all the participants that fished hard during this competition, this tournament continues to grow and we look forward to seeing you all again for our 40 hour fall tournament on October 21st - 23rd and in 2006.

Thanks Phil.

It was a weird weather day, as nice as the day was it was too nice to catch bass. I didn't see you on the water all day and was sweating it out until the end. Thought you might pull up and weigh in a big one like you usually do.

The second annual Hi-Mar Spring Tournament was held Saturday, June 4th. The weather was two extremes. The early morning had rain, wind, and rough seas, 4-6 footers. The afternoon was flat calm with sunshine. Go figure. 50 boats were entered.

Table with Top Ten Results

The real winners were Jason?s Dreams for Kids as majority of the entry fees went to them and Monmouth / Ocean Food Bank where the fish weighed were filleted and donated to this organization.
Green Runner said they lost a bigger fish off the Highlands Bridge.

Kingfisher III weighed two other fish at 35 lbs.
