2011 transition to 2012 plan of attack

Sorry guys just killing an evening and its coooold outside.

Did my share of boat fishing last year so here is my Cape Cod fishing report

1. Fishing top water was not great but I did land some nice blue fish on Zara Spooks, gave it the old college try for some blue fins using top water no luck. 2012 plan on using 7 inch wood.

2. Did some night fishing using 9 inch black sluggos with a single hook and landed some nice fish in the late night. 2012 will be trying some 12 inch sluggos "big bait big fish"

3. Fishing soft plastic during the day, Cape Cod sand eel lures 7 1/2 inch 1oz matched the sand eel pods and caught fish. 2012 plan "if its not broken don't mess with it"

Help me with Cabin fever what worked for you guys??

any of you guys tried these big spooks????
Yep, they smoke them! And you can cast them a mile it seems...great for when fish are spooky on shallow flats, you can really cover some water without putting the fish down.
You will get a lot of swings and misses though...I put an extra 6H splitring on each of the stock split rings...get more hook "swing" this way and hookups did increase...
