I just bought a Garmin 441 chartplotter. I checked it out at the boat show and it looked like it would suit my needs. I took it out of the box and started feeling like the big boat that I saw at the boat show had now shrunk once I put it in the water. Anyone have a 4" screen and feel that it's too small for decent viewing?

Love mine. Never had a problem. I have gone over 90 miles out without any issues. Great Gps, fish finder could be better. Best part is that it gave me room in my dash to add a nice fish finder right next to it, and maybe radar. Good luck. Garmin makes good products.

It depends how far away it is. But if you find it too small, theres always ebay to recooup most of your cost.

I have a garmin 498 on my 17 mako...it is the perfect size for the boat....I am also closer to the console so that helps. I mostly run in either GPS or ff mode and rarely use the split screen unless I am looking for structure or fish to anchor
