I sent 2 reels to the Daiwa US service center in California that the tracking says were delivered on January 22. I have not heard anything from them. Do they call or email to tell you what it will cost?
To follow-up on this, Daiwa replaced a lot of parts on my Saltiga Z6000 GT including part of the body which had a little bit of corrosion on it and only charged for cleaning/lube even though the reel is out of warranty. Its definitely better to send Daiwa reels back to them for work than to get them serviced at a local shop.
