Last week Absecon Bay and associated ICW spots were on fire. Friday we had 70 flounder in three hrs. with two poles going; 5 keeper.

Monday everything changed. Grass was heavy, flies were horrible, and very few fish. Half dozen got tossed and one kept.

Tuesday worse than Monday with three tossed and none kept; grass was bad everywhere. Tide didn't matter.

Thursday was no better. Grass was horrible and finding a spot to keep the green stuff off the hook was the trick. After some maneuvering, found a few to toss back and no keepers.

Surveyed Faunce Landing each day to check the other boats results; seemed like everyone had about the same level of happiness.

It seems like the dog days of summer may have come this week and maybe the fish are beginning to move off.
