Made the trip down to Absecon Bay on Saturday morning and had a good day considering the conditions. Picked up some live spot and surf clams and gave the inlet a try first thing with no luck, had some good marks on the fish finder in the rips but water was real dirty. Ran back and tried the ICW and picked up a 23 inch striper right away on live spot and saw alot of 4-5 in bait fish porpoising, not sure if they were bunker, herring or mullet. Looked like bunker. Brother picked up another 22 in on a Storm wild eye shad.

Ran back to an area with 2 hrs left b4 high tide to give the clams a try. Chummed the clams heavy for a while and had everything from croakers, sharks and a nice fish grabbed one of the baits and off to the races
Got the fish to the side of the boat and was around 36 in and 17 lbs or so. Great fight on lite tackle :D

Oh yeah, we fished in monsoon conditions, winds gusting had to be 15-20 easy and periodic heavy down pours Water temp ranged from 59 - 61 The full enclosure was the ticket. All in all had a great day on the water.

Haig, you know the saying, you gotta go when you get a chance to go. I was happy to be on the water since I hadnt been out since Labor Day. I was doubting the trip though when we launched in the dark and it was raining sideways  :D

Saw your report, now thats what I'm talkin about....
