I was looking to buy a pair of the BCX 6600. They look nice and are priced right. Reviews are good so far. I was wondering if anybody has any experience with these. I have not owned a Garcia reel in about 30 years.
I ue the c3's, real workhorses. My buddy has a bcx 6600 he uses for big flatheads, seem to be a great reel. I would assume they work great in the salt. All abus are a good bet, tried and true:thumbsup:
they are really light too....Just my 2 cents ...I used a Bsx 6600 on Tsunami 7 ft rods on the East River live lining eels we caught bass up to 28 lbs with no problem. I would buy one, But I have a ton of fishing gear in good working order already.
I currently have two BCX 6600's I spooled with 30lb Power Pro. One is my sons the other is mine. We have owned them for two seasons now, and they have become one of my favorite all around reels considering the price. We have used them for spike weakfish up to 20lb stripers in the fall. The BCX's are not made in Sweden like some of Abu's top of the line reels, they are made in China.
