Doing my first salt trips this year
I keep hearing about practicing accuracy
I’m going for redfish, tarpon, permit, and bonefish
How do you define accuracy?
On target, 6” from target, 2’ from target
Trying to understand what my goals should be as I work on accuracy

If you are talking fly casting accuracy, it is more important when fishing for the species that you have mentioned as many times you are casting in very shallow clear water. You want to be able to cast in front of fish without spooking them. It is difficult for even the best castors to get a perfect cast every time, especially with the boat moving, tidal flows and wind. I would think that 1 to 3 feet from your target would be good. The more you fish the better you will get and the easier it will get. Good Luck.
