I lived out there for a while in the 60's before Uncle Sam invited me to the party and the fishing is unrecognizable to East coast mainlanders. The islands are literally mountaintops (tallest on earth, I'm told) and a mere couple of miles puts you in thousands of feet of water. Clear, clean, warm, water surrounding structure (which is the islands) in the middle of the Pacific. I wish that I had the where with all to return there regularly.
Ah well, I'm more than happy with a keeper flounder at this point.
