We left the dock at Bidwell Creek at six- fifteen and proceeded up the bay to the area around 1 buoy. We caught nothing on the outgoing, but after a few moves managed to capture two bass on the incoming tide. The bass were 25 and 29 inches and were caught on bloodworms. We tried all kinds of rigs and the fish we caught were on a three foot leader, slide sinker, and a circle hook and the other on a short dropper rig and a circle hook. Water temp. was hovering around 42 and the winds around 10 to 15 increasing as the day went on. Called it a day at two.Good job Captain Bill!!!!

Hey Mg- Congrats on a great opening day.

It was Crazy Bill that called Rodfather and myself into #1 last year on Mar 23rd. We were on Joe's boat and heading to the Fort, but Crazy Bill said he had a nice bite there. We fished bloods as well, but all our fish were caught on small herring chunks. Water temp was 43 on that date- last year.

Can't wait to get out there.
