With the way the regs are constantly changing you may have thought that this was just another thread about additional regs.
Nope ! Just a late report about the killer black bass fishing we have been enjoying down here in NC.
We are done chasing giant bluefin, unicorns, pots of gold and other mythical creatures, but we are still having a good time with the bottom fish. Get ahold of Capt. John on the Hooked Up II if you want to see just how great this fishery is.
Ricky Myself, and dock neighbor Frank did a bit of seabassin' and it was on. The only problem we had all day was the constant harassment by giant gag grouper and stud american red snappers. We threw back hundreds of pounds of grouper and snapper to reach our limit of black bass. We had a few other assorted bottom fish in the pile, but the 45 nice bass we loaded up before noon was the prize. The red snapper were beautiful, numerous, and hard fighting, I hope they stick around until SAMFC decides to let us keep a few of them again. The gags were monsters also, and we weren't fishing all that deep so they were able to go back with only a few needing venting.
This is bottom fishing that you need to experience to understand. Come on down !
That cleaning table is huge, the size of the bass is deceptive.
