I don't know too much about what is in season and what is actually in the bay this time of year.Is there anything worth catching this time of year?

I know winter flounder starts in march

Maybe some perch, thats about it. There are stripers in ****** *****, but you have to release them now. Other then that, really nothing.

I dont believe you are able to target stripers in ****** ***** from January 1st until the first of March.

I dont think it is illegal to catch and release but if thats the case you can go to ****** ***** and throw storm shads! and if you hook a bass then lucky you. But theres also blues and weakies there all yr. to so you cant be at fault if you hook happen to hook a bass.

catching some perch in the Toms River. Small but fun this time of the year. Keeps you from going crazy.

Forget the back waters, hit the surf. The striper fishing is still going on. Nothing to big, but you should be able to have all the fish you can handle throwing stormshads out front.

I couldn't catch one with dynamite.
