hip, I have read your posts for years now and I know you are an accomplished fisherman and all around good guy.I am posting too apologize, I have thought quite a bit about the spots situation and as this may seem hypocritical, I have too agree that spots should be kept general, and I should have just thought about it more. Because the people that are attracted to these spots may not be the kinda folks we want to fish with.They may be folks who leave beer cans and trash who park on dunes because what do they care they only fish a couple a times a year .If the beach gets closed they will fish another one.However, I only fish certain beaches and I could not imagine if my beach was closed do to some idiots who dont care.I do think that information should be shared, but until we have developed a system to notify us of the bad guy,this just may have to be this way, I know other sites do not allow lurkers period- and the barn has prided itself for the friendly welcoming attitude,but their may have too be some changes in the future.Once again hip I do apologize and I now feel you are right.

I don't think it has anything to do with the type of people that show up to the spot, just that too many people can kill a good spot.

I do understand every point people make to posting spots, I really do understand but I also know what happens when even a general location gets posted. In general...its bad news for the guys that are out there all the time. I have VERY thick skin when it comes to the Barn...as long as people dont get persoanl...then Im a time bomb..LOL Dont sweat the small stuff. This is just discussion on an issue. We are all here because we love fishing. Take it easy

ya' know, I started too think about the asian invasion that I endure every spring near philadelphia and as I am not blaming the internet here, but it just reminded me about the crowding your talking about,i fished that place since I was a kid and there wasn't hardly anybody fishing it and now, well lets just say its a jungle out there!And what they do the place is terrible not to mention the illegal fish they keep! I have lit many a fire to burn off all the trash left behind (UPWIND, OF COURSE)
