My wife is going away for a couple of days with her family. I figure this is the best time for a guys night out. I'm going to go to Atlantic City with a couple of buddies, all of which have no idea about fishing in A.C. What are the legalities down there? I want to surf fish more than anything. I've been looking around, but can't seem to find much info. If anyone has some info about surf fishing or fishing in general down there let me know. Please any info is good. I'm going this comming May.

Brigantine's nice and a good bet.You could also try some of the jetties in AC.Uptown, take a walk down the boardwalk towards the flagship.

Try around Oriental Ave and the boardwalk. If you hit that area the T-Jetty is there you can't miss it.. Just be careful fishing it at night. But I would for sure head to Brigatine. If you wanna travel a few minutes then try out Longport and the Ocean City - Longport Pier.

Beach Buggies are allowed in Brigantine, but they only have a seasonal pass which runs about $150. As for going to Brigantine for a day of fishing without the pass, it's not easy - wide beaches and long wlks.

Pete 7072 - Fishing on the beach in AC should be fine. There are jettys at the north end(world record came from there), wear korkers to be safe. I wouldn't go alone at night in the AC area, go south to Margate/Longport are at night. You may need to look for unguarded beaches during the day, but early morning before the lifeguards arrive or evening after they leave you'll be fine every where.

If your coming in May get some Metal lures or some plugs and cast into the bay if your looking for the best action. You can't miss the bluefish in the bay in may.

Lived in Margate for many years. The "T" jetty is the long one at the North end. Good for stripers and tog (on the outgoing). The next jetty to the South is where the world record was caught. I've done well there too. There is also a string of jetties west of the T jetty with decent parking. Can be dangerous though. I mean watch the waves!. I also done well at both jetties on the south end (Longport). The long one on the ocean side is best. Again, be careful, you can get washed off real easy.

Hey Capt. Safire Dave from PA...
Could you keep things a little less specific on the World Wide Web please?
Us locals sure would appreciate it. Thanks and welcome to the Barn.

Spot Burning

Hey Keyskid from Absecon,NJ relax it not like he gave out your phone number and address!

Everyone and there brother in the fishing community knows about these locations. Its not like there located in some high tech military facility. People on this site crack me up when they cry about spot burning. Use your head and think how did you find out about these locations. Someone had to tell you or show you.

Exactly the responses I was expecting on this here board and why I havent posted much here at all in over a year. Im not gonna beat a dead horse. This site is what it is. I was respectful with Capt. Safire Dave in my response, noticed he was a new member and gave him a polite heads up, that is all. Take care and tight lines.
