Hi,
I have a very low end type baitcasting reel that I finally learned how to cast without spending an hour trying to untangle the spool. I wanted to know if anyone out there would have a good recommendation for the best type of baitcasting reel from the general $150-$200 price range.

There is a lot to choose from in that price range. Can you be more specific as to what type of fishing you plan on doing ?

Go to a tackle shop or the somerset show and "paw" at all the reels that you like. This way you get the feel of them. Best "fishes"

Well I'm about 80% bass fishing in all lakes around the south jersey area. I didn't want to go to a shop yet to ask them cuz I figured they would try to sell me something that I had no idea what it is. And most of my bass fishing involves my best tactic of twitching senko worms with split shots all over the lake.

Baitcasters

Cabelas sells a line of Abu-Garcia bait casters that are amazing. They have both a casting magnetic and a spoon speed control...with very little practice, backlashes are virtually a thing of the past.
I have two C5's in two different sizes...they come in an emerald green color.
They are simply outstanding...run about $100.
