jjsax you are absolutly right. My brother in-law from down south of here was out with with me last year and could not believe how good the fluking was up here[same time as last year] and he him self is a very accomplished fisherman.Winter flounder too, poor season, worst I can remenber. The commercial guys hammered them a few weeks ago 10mn.east.But that couldn't have done it,could it?

I've got the same exact thing down in LE.I would have to say all this cold weather in April/May took it's toll. The water is just starting to warm up now.Yesterday I fished hard from 7-3 and had 1 keeper an about 8 shorts.I hope this breaks open soon. This is the worst spring I can remember.

I actually did pretty good on them on Sunday in 50-60 feet, Monday the drift was too slow but the kids enjoyed the sea bass on a wreck. The split on Sunday was about 50/50 keeper ratio but they were all good size.
