[Gas Can II]

When installing an on board battery charger that is designed to be plugged up to shore power , is there anything to do other than following the instructions that come with it ?

It depends on the boat you are installing it on. If the charger has a stud with a nut coming off the housing, you should bond it. If it's on a gas boat, you can't plug it into a receptical. Other than that, you are fairly straight forward. I usualy dont wire them to the batterys, instead I wire them to the back of the battery switch. This is one less connection that might fall off if you pull the batts.
