My son wants to throw some bloods this weekend. I don't usually fish with them, so I'm wondering what the typical bloodworm rig for the bay this time of year looks like? Is it a HiLo and what size hooks?

Ill be tossing a few tommorrow. I go with the tried and true fish finder rig for bass. Ill use a 6/0 gami octo hook as the fish will be smaller this time of year. 30 lb power pro tied to a 30 lb seaguar leader.

Fish finder
6/0 inline circle
24" 40lb flouro leader
Nice and simple
O use the 6/0 not to match the size of the fish but the size of the worms

Thanks everyone. I have plenty of hi-lo rigs tied out of #30 floro. I may tied a few with the dropper loops closer to the bottom though.

I buy my rigs at Scotts bt. I am too lazy to tie my own rigs. It's a standard hi/low for porgys. first dropper loop is 5 inch from the weight, 2nd dropper is 7 inch above. each dropper is 3 inchs long. Good luck tomorrow.
