Blues in Avalon

I took my Dad to Avalon on Wednesday for bluefish. We did not see a single bluefish, or have a bite off all day. But we did have a limit of tog from 3 to 7 lbs.

Is that good news or bad??
at this point i'll take the blues that you weren't lucky enough to get..
It was bad news until we switched over for tog. I just wish we would have had more crabs and started fishing for the tog sooner. We only had two that were not over 14inches.
My buddy is on TI beach right now in the wind. I guy next to him picked up two blues about in the 3 lb range.
Anchor up in the back and chum with clam bellies and put a big hunk of clam on a hook and you will catch some stripers. I was out last Friday chunking bellies and picked 11 stipers. 4 in the morning keeping 1 at 27 1/2" and 7 more between 2 of us in the evening up to 31 keeping 2 at 27 1/2" and 24".
By yourself am Drifter? :D :D
