Only way I know is to dismount the shifter and take to an evinrude dealer so they can try the keys till they find the one that fits

I have a Johnson outboard and there is a number on the ignition switch that corresponds to the key. Not sure if its the same with Evinrude. The dealor had the key.

If you have one key for it that has rubber boot on it just pull the key out of the boot part way and you'll see a number on it.

If you don't have a key then the number will be on the edge of the key slot where the key goes in.

Any Bomb dealer will have a key.

I probably should have said,I have a key,I just need to get another in case I lose one.
I just looked on the key and it says #77.Do I just need to say I need a OMC #77 key or do they need to cut one like a regular key?

I've had a local key guy just cut additional keys for my Johnson. There is no secret to it, you will need a boot for it, but in an emergency the key can work.

Just tell them you need a #77 key and that's it.
