Kind of a poll but want to hear why?? Do you prefer a bicycle type Pedestal seat to fish from or a regular High Back type sit down seat. Getting ready to buy a set to start setting my casting deck up and just taking a poll.

I have these on my 12' bass boat but after 3-5 hours they get alittle itchy. I want to go with alittle more padding. Very happy with them though and very sturdy as well. I have the rail clamp mounting got to make sure its TIGHT found that one out the hardway:thumbsdown: I'm setting up my 16' so I have more room:thumbsup:

It works out pretty well for our little lake but gets quite small at bigger venues. I'll trick out my new one pretty good n my son will more than likely start towing this one around when he turns 17 in MY GOD 7 months.

I use the bike seat-style for two reasons:

1. I usually lean against it rather than sit in most situations.
2. It takes up less space on an already crowded bow deck.

Hey Steve, do you have a bow trolling motor? Mine has a foot controller doesn't it (bike seat) get you in a BAD balance situation sometimes?

if you buy the high back regular seats, get yerself a "swivel ease" swivel post base and swivel post to go witj it. they tilt back a few degrees so it helps yer back. It also sports a shpcl absorber spring, so it even supports my fat ***. the base is great, because all you have to do to take the seat off is pull it out of the hole. then you can stand on yer bench whenever u want. 2009 G3 1448

Just the opposite. The seat is about the only thing that keeps me balanced!

I've never fell in while steering, but I've had a couple of incidents trying to get the boat back up the trailer.

Got a bicycle seat with hydrolic pedalstal. I have a crazy back so when it starts acting up I lower the pedalstal, sit on it and lean forward to stretch thee old back out.

Depends on how you are fishing..if you are just tossin live bait or chunkin then yea, you want to spend some money and get a nice comfy high back. If your going to be runnin n gunnin and standing all day, then a lean post with a bicycle seat is your better choice. I always have advil on the boat for when the back starts gettin tight.

If its not 5,000 mil its not going to help me, thats a great idea, it'll be in my med. kit
