The Fluke Scene on the Beach was HOT late last
week before the Blow and Dirty Water made Its
Way Into Long Beach Island..
A Friend of Mine did very well using a
Chartreuse Fluke Dart tipped with a Strip of
Squid landing (16) most just short but he managed
to get a 17" & 19" for his efforts...Great Job..

Everyone Have A Good One, This Week Finishes
up the Month Of July,I am sure that will please
most BottomFishermen....

hit the LEI today after work, was a little bit snotty and had a nice wind kicking. managed a throw back, couple sea robbins and a skate. the water temp by my fishfinder was around 72F. hope it warms back up for next week, gonna take a couple days off work.
also saw a bunch and i mean a bunch of birds working around grassy channel. saw some snappers leaping outta the water, but could only get one out of it on a hopkins.

P.S. was out going tide, 4:30 till dusk.

Late report but went out this Sunday in the rain behing Avalon. Nice to be out on the weekend without all the crowds and managed some fish on mack strips and minnows. Mostly throwbacks but managed a couple keepers around 18 inches and lost a hefty one.

Fished the incoming tide on Tuesday afternoon on the south side of the Longport bridge. Managed to catch 13 flounder and a half dozen sea robins but only one keeper flattie at 17". A lot of close ones but not quite there. Best we can figure all were caught on minnows.

Fished behind oc today in a mini tourney sponsored by Dan's dock and The Shark 103.7. Managed 1 shark, 1 sea robbin, 15 tons of grass, 1 short flattie and 1 keeper at 18". Had fun fishing for 2 hours with my boss and another co-worker. I actually won the tourney with the 18"er, It was the only flounder brought in. That flounder was worth a t-shirt and $100 gift certificate to the resturaunt there.
Flounder fishing behind oc seems to be very slow right now...

fished behind SIC and avalon....looking for the brother of the huge 10lber caught last week. tried hard ( trolling, spots, baits) and ended up with 7 shorts and 1 keeper. wind and the tide were fighting in a few places but other wise, it was a nice day on the water!

fished sunday, 0600-1100 with handfull of tbf's, and robins. wind really picked up and called it quits.
today took out the trash with robins, and around a 5lb stargazer. heard storm brewing and ran to the dock. pulled boat out 20 minutes before downpours.

ps. was at lei and stink house both days

Well due to the traffic at the LER talked my buddy Joe into hitting the GSSR and boy was it a good idea. The quantity wasn't there but the quality was unbelievable.

Lost the blue water due to the storms and it's back to the Jersey green but the sea bass are finally here!!!!

Water temp around 72 surface.

5 keeper fluke to 20"

15 sea bass 4 around the 4-5lb range.

Felt like I was on a February deep deep sea bass trip with the quality of the fish.

I think I've finally got the skunk off my back, kicked him in ths a$$, ground him up under the lawn mower and dumped him over as chum.

Next sunday we are going to try the inshore trolling. Got two boats so far any one else interested shoot me an e-mail.

Will be heading out of LEI heading out through the ACR towards the AC Ridge and Pot's.
