Finally! after getting blown out by the NE winds of the last few days I was able to get the 2006 Season underway with the Tom Headley charter. Splitting the day between Romer Shoal and the ocean side of Sandy Hook we picked away at the Bass in less than favorable conditions as the wind was against the tide for most of the day. Anchored in 25 Ft. the charter landed just under 20 Bass releasing all except 4 keepers which measured between 31" and 34". Fresh clams were the bait of choice today.
