What's the best braid line to use in the bay? I never have used it, so any help would be great. Also leader what lb test? Brands you use would be great too.

Which bay? What are you fishing for?
FWIW 10, 20, and 30 pound Power Pro or Fireline is all I use.

4 striper I use 40lb braid (Tuff-Line XP) with a 17lb fluorocarbon leader /
4 flounder I use 17lb Maxima Camilion Mono
4 drum I use 50lb braid (Tuff-Line XP) with a 20lb mono leader.
4 tuna I use 80 - 100lb (Power Pro)
4 cat fish I use 20lb braid (Berkly Crystal Ice fishing Braid) with 12lb mono
4 sea bass and croakers I use all 17lb mono
4 tog I use 40 lb (Tuff-Line XP) with a 25lb mono leader (Reef & Rocks)

***All depends what depth water, what fish, what time of year, temperature etc to make the decision on what to use! I stay away from braid when it under 25 degrees! Hope I helped!

I put some 40lb Power Pro braid on my bay reel and use it for stripers in the spring and then fluke.

Never had a problem. The 40lb braid is strong enough to land anything the bay has to offer in my opinion. Caught a 80lb Drum on 40lb PP.

When I get in the ocean I go with a higher test. Lighter for my BB and casting rods.

When I switched to braid from mono I found that bouncing lead off the bottom for fluke was more fun too.
