Anyone know if their is such a item as a braid resisted sinker slider and if so what do they look like? Thanks for any help on this
Don't waste your Money,.... Use a 60 Barrel swivel, and Two beads It Tangles alot less then the commercial sliders and is cheaper. Thats All i use on the beach because I got fed up with the tangles the commercial ones made in Heavy surf.
Interesting... I'm trying to visualize that. Do you have a pic?
Got it. Thank you, sir.Visualize end of braid pass through a bead then through a swivel then through another bead. uni knott to treminal tackle attach hook. You can use either conn link or breakway clip on the slide swivel to attach sinker. hope this helped you .
That's exactly what I was talking about with the durability issues.Funny thing is that I had braid slice right through one of those during the spring. I always used a shock leader of 50 lb mono anyways so I just put the slider on that.
Right on the money Joe... been using these with braid forever on the boat and in the surf...Don't waste your Money,.... Use a 60 Barrel swivel,
The barrel swivel is a good idea, but couldn't you just use a snap swivel?
Great idea thanks I am tired of losing sputniks because of faulty slides!:thumbsup:Sure Why Not...I only suggested the Barrel Swivel because I buy ALL my terminal tackle separate, Swivels and Dou snaps... The snap swivels I do own are too small for surf fishing...
