Thew plugs saturday and sunday, not one strike. Tried clamming along the sod banks and out front, not a strike. Skunked first trip this year. I did not see alot of bait, thought by reading the post that there would be a little more action.

Water is still cool... The inlet will heat up soon though, if the weather Gods give us a break.

Seeker2, were you fishing from shore or boat? We haven't done well from shore there until late April, although others have.

I WAS SURPISED SATURDAY WHEN I WENT IN THE BACK AS FAR AS YOU CAN GO AT THE FLOOD I NEVER SAW ANY LIFE,THOUGHT I WOULD SEE SOME NEAR THE BRIDGE.

I fished from a boat. I have a 17 foot jet boat, I cruised all the back to the parkway and saw little to no bait. I was dissapointed, It
just seems the action will never heat up this year. We need SUN!

i have fished the backwater twice so far this april with no luck either. using clam bellies. the weather is just so up and down and the water is cool yet. with this warmer weather expected to arrive this should get going.
