Checked out the beach Thursday morning. Water clarity was getting better on the incoming tide. Not great for fly fishing but better. Guys all along the point were getting just a few fish. Small croakers, couple of weakies, a few small bass and a mess of trash fish. Everything I saw was on bait. Also was the first weekday with a number of boat in the rips.

Seems like we just go from one tough weather week to another. The bass are finally here, but when the wind slows the water looks like crap. You can get to the good areas to fish but with the water clarity, the fish will never see your fly. This is prime time for fly fishing and we just can't seem to get a break. We need some days with calm weather to clear the water up.

DJ, Was on the beach last night around 5:00 PM. Water was ugly ugly ugly near the top of the tide. Bait was the only option and saw guys catching croakers. Hope you are hooking up.
