Fished there all day Monday and found plenty of trout and yellow perch, as well as a nice largemouth. Pretty decent fishery over there.

It is a beautiful lake with some decent fish in it. Had a friend who lived on the backside of the lake.

Has the the old hotel/restaurant re-opened yet?

The restaurant is opened as Jake's. Trying to be a somewhat upscale Italian joint and the bar area is more for having a drink while waiting for dinner. I've been there twice. first time they seemed rushed and crazy. Two meals were good and two were just OK. The second time we ate at the bar and everything was good.

gets better in the summer as the pads fill in, great bass and pickeral fishing.in the years past we have even caught trout upstream of iona at the spill way of the lake that feeds it. also alot of bass in there to. that is called idle acres lake. brown bob
